Duane Stierhoff serves as group vice president, Medical Systems (SMS), at Sparton Corporation. He is responsible for the overall strategic and financial direction of the business.
Prior to his current role, Stierhoff started a company called Astro Instrumentation, a medical instrumentation firm, where he oversaw the operation specializing in contract design and manufacturing services. Astro Instrumentation was acquired by Sparton in June 2006.
Before launching Astro Instrumentation, he spent more than 25 years in various research and development, materials and supply chain management, quality, manufacturing and technical support roles for companies such as Ciba Corning, Ciba Giegy, Chiron and Bayer Diagnostics.
Stierhoff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Bowling Green State University and is a Certified Quality Engineer. |
