Sparton Corporation Announces the Election of James D. Fast to The Board of Directors
Jackson, Michigan — August 28, 2001 — Electronic Design and Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider, Sparton Corporation (NYSE:SPA), announced that the Board of Directors elected James D. Fast to the Board of Directors at its August 24, 2001 meeting. Mr. Fast’s election fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Rory B. Riggs earlier this year.
James D. Fast is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ionia County National Bank (ICNB), Ionia Michigan. ICNB Financial Corporation is the holding company for Ionia County National Bank, a leading full service community bank providing a wide range of financial services from offices in Ionia, Belding, Lowell, Sunfield and Woodland, Michigan.
Mr. Fast has an extensive background in the banking and financial industries with over 30 years of experience. Mr. Fast graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware and Jackson Community College. Mr. Fast’s term as a member of the Sparton Board of Directors will expire in 2003.
