Sparton Corporation Is A Supplier Management Council Recognized Award Winner
(JACKSON, MICHIGAN)-June 20, 2002-Sparton Corporation (NYSE:SPA) was recognized as an exemplary supplier by the Aerospace Industries Association’s (AIA) Supplier Management Council (SMC).
In the AIA’s Executive Report, Spring 2002 issue, the Supplier Management Council recognized Sparton along with 26 other companies who received accolades throughout the past year. Sparton was the recipient of three awards: the 2002 London Quality Award sponsored by London Section-American Society for Quality and the London Chamber of Commerce; the L.L. Hedgepeth Award sponsored by Florida Water Environment Association; and the 2001 Service Excellence Award for Electronic Manufacturing Services Companies sponsored by Technology Forecasters, Inc., and Circuits Assembly Magazine.
The Aerospace Industries Association is the voice of the U.S. aerospace industry, representing the nation's leading manufacturers of commercial, military, and business aircraft, helicopters, aircraft engines, missiles and spacecraft, materials, and related components and equipment. Consisting of 78 Member Companies and 126 Associate Member Companies, AIA achieves consensus among its members and others on solutions to industry-wide issues. As with most Associate Member Companies, Sparton was referred to the AIA by a Member Company. This acknowledgement honors Sparton as an exceptional supplier in the aerospace industry.
