Sparton Corporation Introduces the SP3000D Digital Compass
JACKSON, October 22, 2003 – Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider Sparton Corporation (NYSE:SPA) announced the introduction of one of the most accurate and affordable digital compasses available today.
The Sparton SP3000D Digital Compass is an innovative, electronic circuit board designed for easy integration into new or existing navigational applications. In addition to its usability and affordability, the digital compass is small in size and lightweight.
The design of the SP3000D allows engineers to integrate the digital compass into their own systems via a standard communication interface. This makes the compass ready for use in applications such as vehicle compasses, navigation and guidance systems and hand-held devices. Magnetic Compass Navigation and Guidance Systems; GPS Integration; Altitude Position Sensing; and 3-Dimensional Magnetic Field Strength Measurements.
Features of the SP3000D Digital Compass include three-axis, three-dimensional absolute magnetic field measurement, tilt compensated bearing, and X-Y tilt, .and temperature output
