Sparton Corporation Responds to Inquiries Regarding David Hockenbrocht

(JACKSON, MICHIGAN)-February 22, 2008- The Company has received several calls with respect to David W. Hockenbrocht, CEO and President of Sparton Corporation which has prompted us to release this brief statement as to his status. Mr. Hockenbrocht was recently admitted and subsequently released from the hospital after a brief stay. He is recovering comfortably at home. We know the community will join us in wishing Mr. Hockenbrocht a speedy recovery & return to work.
