Brett B. Lambert
Sparton Proxy Board Member
Mr. Lambert is Managing Director of The Densmore Group, LLC,
a national security and intelligence consultancy. Prior, he served
as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Northrop Grumman,
Executive-in-Residence with Renaissance Strategic Advisors,
and Senior Fellow at the National Defense Industrial
Association.
In his early career, Mr. Lambert worked with defense and
intelligence firms, including DFI International, a national security consultancy. Before that, he worked for the U.S. Department of State at the American Embassy in New Delhi.
Mr. Lambert was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing and
Industrial Base Policy by President Barak Obama. He was awarded the Secretary of Defense
Medal for Outstanding Public Service and the Medal for Distinguished Public Service, as well
as the National Defense Industrial Association Gold Medal.
Mr. Lambert attended graduate school at Jawaharlal Nehru University on a Rotary Graduate
Scholarship received during his senior year at Kansas State University. He also worked as an
independent journalist in India, Pakistan, and Burma.
A life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Mr. Lambert is also a Senior Associate at
the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Chairman of the Board of the Advanced
Robotics Manufacturing Institute (Carnegie Mellon University), and a board member of The
Henry L. Stimson Center. He was appointed by the Secretary of Defense to the Department of
Defense’s Reserve Forces Policy Board. He also serves on the Boards of the National Defense
Industrial Association, ASTRO America, British Telcom Federal, MBDA USA, and on the Board
of Advisors of Ginkgo Bioworks, as well as the Dean’s Advisory Council for Kansas State
University Polytechnic
