Sparton AN/SSQ-36B Sonobuoy Qualified For Use By Naval Air Systems Command
September 4, 2024DELEON SPRINGS, FLORIDA– September 4, 2024 – Sparton DeLeon Springs, LLC (Sparton), is pleased to announce that it has successfully qualified its AN/SSQ-36B Bathythermograph Sonobuoy. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division has officially recommended the SPARTON AN/SSQ-36B as a qualified production sonobuoy. Under the auspices of the Naval Air Systems Command, the buoy completed rigorous Performance Verification and Validation testing confirming that the design meets all established operational and naval technology requirements. This qualification underscores Sparton’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of defense technology.
