James R. Wyatt

James Wyatt has served as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at Sparton Corporation since December 2019. In this capacity he is responsible for leading a business development and marketing team focused on customer relations and business growth opportunities. He heads all Sparton strategic, marketing, and business development efforts and initiatives focused on Department of Defense, U.S. Navy, and international customers.

Prior to Sparton, he worked at Raytheon Corporation as a member of the U.S. Business Development, Navy and Marine Corps team responsible for identifying and pursuing Navy business growth opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction. He was one of Raytheon’s primary contacts to the company’s Navy customers.

Prior to Raytheon, James served in the United States Navy as a P-3 Naval Flight Officer for over 30 years. He has extensive operational Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Aviation experience and has served multiple tours on major U.S. Navy and Joint staffs.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Troy State University of Montgomery. He is also a graduate of University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business’ Executive Leadership Program.
